ARTIST STATEMENT:

Alex is an observer of people. This informs his work in as he sees deeply into his heroes and works to capture real emotions, sometimes hidden below the surface. This helps to create images that are authentic and immediate that do not age. He believes that “...a good and high-quality photo is like an expensive suit or dress. When a person puts it on, they simply have to behave their best. He provided high-quality services as a professional portrait photographer in Ukraine and Europe, and now is working in Canada. 

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:

Alex Hurman is a professional photographer who began exploring photography in 2001 in Ukraine. He has since lived and worked in many European nations before relocating to Canada with his family to continue his life’s work in portrait, fashion, fine art, and documentary photography. Alex is an Accredited Photographer of Professional Photographers of Canada, a Qualified European Photographer in the Federation of Professional Photographers of Europe, and the Association of Professional Photographers of Ukraine.
