Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Calgary, Arts Commons is easy to get to by car, transit, foot, or bike.

Arts Commons is at 205 - 8th Avenue SE, adjacent to Olympic Plaza to the north, and west of City Hall. With guests attending several venues, Art Commons can be very busy. We encourage you to arrive at least 30 minutes before your showtime.

Where we are

In the heart of the cultural district, in downtown Calgary, Arts Commons takes up an entire city block, between 9th avenue and 8th avenue adjacent to Olympic Plaza to the north, and west of City Hall.

Arts Commons is connected by the +15 Network to the City Hall parkade. +15 access to Arts Commons from the Telus Convention Centre/Glenbow Museum is currently closed for construction.

Parking

Coming to Arts Commons by car? 


Plan Ahead
With guests attending several venues in Art Commons, parking in the area can become congested. We encourage you to arrive 30 minutes before your showtime.

Arts Commons Parking
Underground parking is available at Arts Commons at 829 Macleod Trail SE. Enter between 9th & 8th Avenues SE from the far-left lane of Northbound Macleod Trail.

Rates
Flat rate parking is available weekdays after 6 p.m. and weekends, in most parking areas. For all parking rates, please visit the Calgary Parking Authority website.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the ongoing renovations of the Glenbow Museum, the +15 walkway connecting Arts Commons to the Calgary Telus Convention Centre/Glenbow Museum will be closed as of June 22 until further notice. This will affect patrons parking at the Palliser Hotel and Telus Convention Centre who wish to use the +15 walkways to enter Arts Commons. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Transit and Bike

Arts Commons is just two blocks from two C-Train stations, and steps from bike racks.

Transit Access
Calgary’s C-Train light rail transit runs along 7th Avenue, one block north of Arts Commons.

Traveling eastbound: Get off at Centre Street Station or City Hall Station.
Traveling westbound: Get off at City Hall Station.

Bike Access
Calgary's many bike lanes provide a safe and efficient way to get to Arts Commons. See the City of Calgary Downtown Cycle Tracks page to plan your route.

Bike racks are located on 8th Ave SE in front of both the Martha Cohen Theatre and the Jack Singer Concert Hall.
