ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:

Mandy Morris is equal parts vocalist, educator, and coffee. She is an artist, teacher and entrepreneur who works to connect children and their families with music. Mandy has found success entertaining, educating and collaborating with kids through their project called Music with Mandy. Best described as Fred Penner meets Ella Fitzgerald, her high energy stage presence and unique interpretation of jazz standards have won the hearts of all who have come to her shows. Music with Mandy has been nominated for three YYC Music Awards and a WCMA. They have toured throughout Western Canada with highlight performances at Fernie Culture Days, Hay Day Festival, JazzYYC, Calgary Pride and the National Music Centre. Mandy loves collaborating, and her project, Colour Me Sad, is an award-winning group that uses tap, music and story to help young children navigate their emotions. 

Mandy is passionate about nurturing an inclusive arts community in Calgary, Alberta, where she currently resides. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of Create Kids Arts Society which presents an annual Children's Art Festival called Create. In 2023, Mandy began experimenting with new sounds, creative processes and subject matter. Their work is expanding and changing with a shift towards mature subject matter that is more suitable for "grown-ups." Mandy began painting their songs and exploring themes like mental health, gender identity and the duality that resides within her of light and darkness.
