ARTIST STATEMENT:

My interdisciplinary practice includes combining research with painting, printmaking, and drawing. Conceptually, my artwork uses intersectional feminist theory and critical literature in art theory and practice as frameworks to explore gender-based oppression. Through my creative research practice, I aim to contribute my emotional, intellectual, and artistic labour to taking care of feminism’s archives. Situated within the context of contemporary visual art production and dissemination, my creative research practice is informed through scholarly and cultural investigation, as well as my own social positionality and experiences.
