ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:

My name is Quenton Whitecalf. I attend Alberta University of the Arts in Calgary, Alberta. I was born and raised in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. I live on Sweetgrass First Nation located on highway 40 between North Battleford and Cut Knife. My family means everything to me and everything I do is related to them in some form, either inspired or for them. Someday I hope to teach another generation of our youth about art to give them the means to communicate their messages and stories in ways I couldn't possibly imagine.    

ARTIST STATEMENT:

I find inspiration through the stories of others. I have always been drawn to nature and animation. I love experimenting with mediums and playing with material and compositions as I work on something and finding better or unexpected ways of finishing them.
