ORGANIZATION STATEMENT:
This is a collection of archives and photographs from Fem Assembly meetings, exhibitions, and our self-published zines. Contributions include photographs, notes, signs from past shows, zine pages, and pieces from a community art project created from visitors attending one of our exhibitions. Participants responded to the pages of a book that was written in 1950, called “Every Woman’s Standard Medical Guide”, written by forty men.
Thank you to everyone who has made Fem Assembly a great place to grow and connect. This includes past and present members and volunteers.

The Fem Assembly is a feminist art collective based in Calgary, Alberta. Each artist has their own individual practice, but as a collective, we focus on exploring intersectional feminism and gender experiences.
