Through support and collaboration, Arts ReimaginED, brings together teachers, parents and caregivers, and teaching artists to bring arts education back into the lives of children and youth. Arts education provides foundational learning building blocks that develop core competencies in the next generation of successful adults. The week of creative events culminated in an Arts Education Summit, which encompassed:

  • 70 stakeholders – parents, teachers and caregivers, artists, and teaching artists – who were inspired to come together to disrupt current ways of thinking and to reimagine arts education

  • Renowned speaker Dr. Christopher Emdin and his engaging, thought-provoking keynote address

  • Arts facilitators and teaching artists who led a variety of community art making workshops

  • An invigorating all-female panel discussion led by Alex Sarian, joined by an engineer, a nurse, a CBE principal, and a  professional art therapist who is a Canadian certified counsellor

  • Written responses from stakeholders answering three key questions - What inspired you? What surprised you? and What challenged you?

You are vital in shaping arts education in our community. Stay connected with us to learn how to be part of the next phase of Arts ReimaginED!
