My involvement within this exhibit is to demonstrate and share my passion for STEAM with the world. It has been my primary vessel of learning cultural practices with IndigeSTEAM, and I hope to be able to share how impactful Two-Eyed Seeing has been on my life.”
I created a turtle with the Cree teachings of how the turtle shell is 13 segments which represent the 13 moons and 28 small sections to represent the days between the moons. The turtle is also the shape of North America which is called Turtle island. I wanted the turtle mounted on a blue coloured drum that represents water and heartbeat of the land.
