Artist Statement for Etuaptmumk

“I want to encourage people to explore new technologies like 3D printing and add that to their day to day lives, by adding a wearable jewelry aspect people can show off what they hold dear by 3D printing their own work and wearing it, clothing and jewelry let us expresses ourselves in a totally different way and we need to support that.”

“I believe the most productive way to keep indigenous teachings and culture alive in this day and age is to connect it with technology. We as a society will always push for more technology so if we incorporate that with our culture we will in turn push for more indigenous culture in our lives. We must adapt to the times and bring our culture to others.”
