Steve Strongman

JUNO and multi-Maple Blues Award winner Steve Strongman has been delighting audiences around the globe with his swampy swagger, smooth ballads, and driving rhythmic chuggers for decades. Strongman’s impressive track record includes performing with blues legends B.B. King, Buddy Guy, and Johnny Winter as well as winning the 2013 JUNO Award for Blues Recording of the Year.

Bringing his signature solo acoustic style, Strongman is a triple-threat guitar-slinger, songwriter, and vocalist. He has proven his mettle both on the road and with his seven acclaimed albums – with an eighth on the horizon. Join Arts Commons Presents to celebrate Canadian blues in the Engineered Air Theatre this January.

Due to changes in the COVID-19 pandemic, this performance will be proceeding with increased health and safety measures. Audience capacity is reduced to allow for distanced seating, food and beverage sales are paused for these dates, and masks continue to be mandatory while inside Arts Commons.

“A blues rocking white boy that seems to have non chalantly shredded his way to the top of the heap with smoking licks and powerful company throughout. Easy going without being easy listening, this is fist pumping, beer drinking night out music for party people that need a leader to let them cut loose. Fine stuff sure to keep him on top.”
