Calgary's New West Symphony & Chorus is directed by Henric Ideström. Founded in February 2010, this community-based choir and orchestra typically performs an average of fifteen full-length concerts per season at various venues in and around Calgary.

Joining New West Symphony & Chorus again this year is the energetic New West Student Ensemble, under the direction of David Klob. New West Student Ensemble is a dynamic youth choir and orchestra for students in Grades 7 through 12.

It is New West Society’s mission to "bless people of all ages, leading them to experience love through music, community, and compassionate giving." As a registered charity, New West partners with organizations who seek to make a difference in our world by providing support for vulnerable people. This year, New West is partnering with a variety of agencies that serve individuals and families in our community who are facing financial insecurity by offering New West Gifts Back, a unique concert opportunity for New West to share Christmas joy with their invited guests at no cost to them.
