Due to unavoidable circumstances, the fall dates for the Aida Cuevas: 45th Anniversary with Mariachi Aztlán tour have been cancelled. This includes the Calgary stop with Arts Commons Presents scheduled for November 25, 2022. We are so sorry for the disappointment.

“The Queen of Ranchera Music” is coming to Calgary! On this showstopping tour, Aida Cuevas is celebrating 45 years as one of Mexico’s biggest music stars as only she can – with a phenomenal spectacle and of music and joy! Known as the matriarch of mariachi song, she is joined onstage by the acclaimed Mariachi Aztlán.

She made her national debut in Mexico at 12 years old with her first album and a European tour less than a year later. Since then, she has recorded 41 albums and won a GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY award. She has performed for kings, queens and presidents, and sold out the biggest houses around the world, including the Auditorio Nacional de México, el Palacio de Bellas Artes, Madison Square Garden, and the Hollywood Bowl. Next, she’s taking on the Jack Singer Concert Hall!

Don’t miss Aida Cuevas’s 45th Anniversary performance, where you’ll hear some of her most beloved songs, including El Pastor and La Cigarra, as well as her hits produced in collaboration with Mexican singer and composer Juan Gabriel, Te Doy Las Gracias, Te Vas a Quedar Con Las Ganas and Quizás Mañana, backed by a full Mariachi band, Mariachi Aztlán. The multi-award-winning Mariachi Aztlán is beloved for their bright, joyous sound and have performed internationally including for President Obama at the White House.
