Arts Commons Presents:
Blues Masters Elvin Bishop and Charlie Musselwhite

CALGARY – Arts Commons Presents brings legendary blues masters Elvin Bishop and Charlie Musselwhite to the Jack Singer Concert Hall for a stripped down tour of American roots music on Friday, March 31, 2017.

Blues Hall of Famers Elvin Bishop and Charlie Musselwhite team up for a rare dual performance at the Jack Singer Concert Hall at Arts Commons, bringing their distinct rollicking style of front porch blues to Calgary.  With over 100 years of experience between the two of them, and just as many albums, these two musicians have helped to shape and define the blues genre over the course of their prestigious careers.

“The blues is your buddy in good times and your comforter in bad times. It empowers you to keep going,” Charlie Musselwhite “It’s music from the heart instead of the head.”

This is blues like you’ve never heard it before, from two living legends of the genre, in a concert hall designed to pay homage to the power of music.
