The spacious main floor and dress circle lobbies of the Jack Singer Concert Hall in Arts Commons can be used in conjunction with the concert hall or as a venue on its own. The lobby area has hosted such events as Avenue Magazine's Top 40 Under 40, Canadian Citizenship Ceremony, and The Rozsa Awards. In a combination of historical tradition and contemporary vibe, the high ceilings in this space provide flexibility for décor.
The Jack Singer Concert Hall Lobby was built in the historic Calgary Public Building which housed Canada Post, Revenue Canada and the RCMP during its use by the Federal Government. The original pillars, upper mezzanine and skylight from the original grand lobby were maintained. The 87-year old façade of the building is currently undergoing restoration by the City of Calgary.
