Arts Commons Presents:

Legendary Musician Jack DeJohnette Leads HUDSON to Calgary

CALGARY – Arts Commons Presents an all-star jazz collaboration in celebration of Jack DeJohnette’s 75th birthday - HUDSON - on October 17, 2017 in the Jack Singer Concert Hall.

Named after the Hudson River Valley that the members of the group affectionately call home, HUDSON brings legendary drummer Jack DeJohnette together with bassist Larry Grenadier, keyboardist John Medeski, and guitarist John Scofield in a groundbreaking collaborative music project.

“This collective allows the opportunity for us to share our love for where we make our homes. The musical resources and stories to be told are endless and ageless,” says DeJohnette. “The spaciousness and beauty create inspiration for us to have a musical dialogue at the highest level possible.”

Performing well-loved classics that also have their origins in the Hudson River Valley such as Joni Mitchell’s Woodstock and Bob Dylan’s Lay Lady Lay, as well as their own original pieces, this will be a night of music to remember at Arts Commons.

Tickets are available through or by calling 403-294-9494. Watch the behind-the-scenes peak of their new album.
