Tuesday Concert of The Sachal Ensemble Cancelled Due to Issues with Canadian Visas

CALGARY – Arts Commons is deeply disappointed to announce that The Sachal Ensemble performance on Tuesday, November 7 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall is cancelled as the group’s artist visas were not yet approved for entry into Canada.  This unfortunate news comes after a series of highly lauded performances throughout Europe and the United States and in the midst of a North American tour.

A statement from The Sachal Ensemble says, “The losses to the musicians, the community and our organizers and presenters, both financial and otherwise will be extremely upsetting.  We were assured all last week that the approvals were coming, and even this weekend were told all would be fine.  However, nothing has come through, and we were told nothing could be done.”

All ticket holders will be automatically refunded for this performance, and BD&P World Music subscribers will contacted by a Ticketing Services representative. Arts Commons apologizes for any inconvenience this causes for our patrons, subscribers, donors, and supporters.
