Jack Singer Concert Hall
The Wadali Brothers- Puranchand and Pyarelal Wadali are Sufi singers and musicians from guru ki wadali in the Amritsar district in Punjab, India. They are firm believers of the Sufi tradition and consider themselves a tool in its accord. From a spiritual perspective, they believe in the power of music to connect with the human spirit.
The Wadali Brothers were part of “The Kapil Sharma Show” on the Episode which aired on July 3, 2016.This was considered one of the greatest episodes in the history of the show, and is simply a marvel in the eminent list of accolades possessed by the Wadali Brothers. The Wadali Brothers are winners of the Padmashri award, awarded by the Government of India as a sign of excellence in their respective field. This award is another mark of their sheer fame and providence in the field of Sufi Music.
The Wadali Brothers have also been involved greatly in the musical field of Bollywood. In 2003, they entered Bollywood, rendering music under director and writer Gulzar using soulful lyrics embellished with their unique style in the film “Pinjar”. Since then tey have provided life though their brethaking music to more than 30 hit Bollywood movies among which “Dhoop”, “Mausam” and “Tanu Weds Manu” are the greatest spectacles.

The Jack Singer Concert Hall in Arts Commons is described as one of the most beautiful and acoustically acclaimed venues in North America. Named after Mr. Jack Singer ($1.5M contribution from his sons, Alan and Stephen Singer), the concert hall is also the home of the Carthy Organ donated by the Carthy Foundation in the amount of $750,000 in memory of Mrs. Margaret Mannix. Suspended high above the stage is a laminated, 185,000-pound (90-ton) spruce-wood acoustical canopy that can be raised or lowered to tune the hall according to the specific needs of each performer.
Over its 32 year life, Jack Singer Concert Hall has undergone many upgrades to ensure that it remains a state-of-the-art performance hall, including a new million dollar sound system with state-of-the-art hearing assistance in 2004, a complete replacement of all its analog sound boards in 2014, and the future replacement of all of its seats to be completed by fall 2017.
