EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts is excited to present new photographic series by Zachary Moldoon and Kyung Hee Hogg in the 7 Window Galleries.
Zachary Muldoon presents De Ja Vu, an exhibit made up of personal photos manipulated to convey the feeling of the passage of time and perhaps loss of memory.
“The photos are documentation of places I have been and experiences I have had. Through abstracting these images to a point where narratives gets lost and skewed trying to access the feeling of these places in time leaving a sense of déjà vu,” says Muldoon. Born and raised in Alberta Canada, Zachary Muldoon is a working artist who recently graduated from Alberta College of Art and Design.
Kyung Hee Hogg presents Gates of Nature, an exploration of nature and its effect on self, influenced by the philosophies of Buddhism. Born and educated in Seoul, Korea Kyung Hee Hogg graduated with a BFA Bed from Duk Sung Women’s University at later moved to Canada, working in Edmonton as an artist.
“I hope people receive some of ‘natures wisdom’ emptiness, and harmony from my works and feel peace, happiness, enlightenment, or just feel good, as I do when I am in unity with nature,” says Hee Hogg. “Everything exists only through its connection to and dependence upon other things.”
